GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Clutch Gaming is searching for a researcher and developer who is looking to push the boundaries of what is possible in sports analytics. We are a dynamic, flat, reciprocal environment where everybody is expected to make meaningful contributions from day one. We tackle some of the hardest problems and make an impact in a highly open and satisfying way. Your two most meaningful documents are your bashrc and your vimrc. You've tinkered with popular frameworks, written your own CLIs, deployed web services, and open-sourced libraries. You want to build the largest, fastest, and most usable eSports analytics platform in the world. You believe that technology can be a huge competitive edge in sports, and that you can build that edge. We will consider all candidates who demonstrate an ability to thrive in a dynamic, creative research environment, regardless of academic background and prior work experience. The ideal engineer has the following qualifications:
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Resolves operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions.
• Prepares and installs solutions by settling and crafting system specifications, standards, and programming.
• Improves operations by conducting systems analysis; recommending changes in policies and procedures.
• Protects operations by keeping information confidential.
• Provides information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing development and service issues.
• Accomplishes engineering and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
• Develops software solutions by studying information needs; conferring with users; studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes; investigating problem areas; following the software development lifecycle.
• Demonstrates our One Team philosophy of Passion, Accountability, Customer Focus, and Teamwork.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's Degree in computer science required
• Experience building distributed systems deployed on Google Cloud Platform
• some knowledge of probability and statistics
• Proficiency in Go, Python, Javascript, and SQL
• Experience with Google protocol buffers and GRPC
• Working knowledge of Keras and TensorFlow
• Ability to summarize and present results in a concise intuitive manner
• The ability to work well in a team environment and independently is required.
PHYSICAL & MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
• The employee is regularly required to stand, sit, walk, use handle or feel, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, communicate with others.
• The vision requirement includes the ability to review written and electronic materials in both digital and physical format.
• The employee will be able to transfer and move items for departmental needs.
• The employee will be able to adjust to changing work hours and locations as needed in light of the strong focus on external communications and relationships.
