Summary:
The Houston Astros are seeking a TrackMan Operator for the Round Rock Hairy Men (Texas Collegiate League) season. The Operator will be responsible for collection of game data during Round Rock home games.
Dates:
This position begins on July 4th, 2020 and ends at the conclusion of the Round Rock Hairy Men season, approximately at the end of July or early August.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Collect game data during the Round Rock Hairy Men home games during the Texas Collegiate League. The technologies used for this purpose include, but are not limited to:
• TrackMan radar- The Operator will receive training on proper use of video equipment and all technology systems.
• Assist with the day-to-day administrative aspects of the Player Development department.
• Collect data using TrackMan's platform.
Education
and/or Experience:
• Strong baseball knowledge.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• High level of attention to detail.
• Professional and punctual.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Work Environment
This job operates in a stadium setting. The noise level can be loud within the stadium environment.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This is a largely sedentary role. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and focused vision. May be required to work in extreme temperatures and outdoor environment.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including; extended hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Travel
Rare travel maybe expected in this role.
