Publishing Administration obtains mechanical and synchronization licenses for all Disney Music Group's domestic physical and digital albums, singles, mobile tones and digital videos, and all promotional efforts related thereto. We also issue licenses to third party labels for the use of Disney Music Publishing compositions on these same types of commercial exploitations and manage the dispute and appeals queues in our DMP YouTube CMS
Please note, this role is statused as ''Project Hire'' with benefits for a duration of 6 to 12 months
Responsibilities:
• Research/verify publishing ownership on various songs pending licensing;
• Request mechanical licenses for assigned releases through Harry Fox eMechanical and bulk licensing requests;
• Issue advice letters and short form licenses to publishers where applicable;
• Deliver copies of licenses and advice letters to royalties for account set up;
• Create schedules for all video and ringtone exploitations for each publisher and provide master data on all NDMA products to royalties for set up in Alliant;
• Update internal license tracking report to ensure visibility of licenses pending set up in Alliant and identify licensing holes across the scope of DMG releases.
Basic Qualifications:
• 2 years of experience in music publishing or copyright licensing required
• Strong research skills with specific understanding of resources such as ASCAP, BMI and Harry Fox
• Proficiency with Word and Excel
• Knowledge of Disney Music Publishing catalog a plus
• Energetic, efficient and resourceful with excellent time-management skills
• Attention to detail; accuracy is critical
• Excellent interpersonal and written skills
• Strong work ethic
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree preferred
