DESCRIPTION:
This contract role is responsible for delivering on our strategic branded product collaborations and retail licensing partnerships. This role involves lead generation, strategic planning, and operational execution to ensure licensing growth across our portfolio of brands. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in partnership operations, new licensing models, deep retail and vendor relationships and will have a proven track record of driving growth, innovation, and operational excellence. The role requires a strong analytical approach to problem solving, the ability to build relationships and work with a variety of team members across multiple divisions and disciplines. Requires deep experience with talent-led and/or social-first brands.
Key Responsibilities:
• Retail Operations & Product Licensing Execution – THE & Hello Sunshine Portfolio
• Manage the portfolio Licensing function, driving end-to-end development of commercially leveraging Hello Sunshine IP across all brands.
• Drive strategic revenue growth for Drop of Sunshine brand.
• Manage licensing partners working closely with internal stakeholders to ensure relationship management is executed to the highest degree, ultimately uncovering growth in licensing while uncovering broader DTC opportunities.
• Set licensing strategies and oversee the product licensing processes, ensuring alignment with brand standards and strategic goals.
• Negotiate licensing agreements and manage relationships with licensees to maximize revenue and brand exposure. Oversee sales tracking, product performance and growth opportunities across licensing partners.
• Monitor the performance of licensed products and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
• Work closely with internal partners on high-impact product collaborations with cult-following brands creating high brand impact.
• Advise on merch, affiliate, and ecommerce strategy so there is informed and aligned GTM for product-forward strategies for our brands.
• Collaborate with legal teams to build strategy and manage Trademark approach for product & IP.
• Identify and manage product design specialists and 3rd party vendors, as required, to fully execute licensing strategies.
• Develop and report up the line to SVP/EVP brand owners licensing performance across the portfolio and new opportunities for expansion. Advise on promotional needs and retail promotional cadences for marketing alignment.
Requirements:
• 8-10 years of experience in operations management, with a strong background in the digital creator landscape, sales, licensing, and branded content production.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Finance or a related field preferred.
• Expertise in partnership management & negotiation across product licensing, branded partnerships, and DTR models.
• Strong business acumen and understanding of the retail and digital content creation industries. Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to execution.
• Experience in strategic planning, P&L exposure and budget management, and financial analysis.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.
• Negotiation skills and contract development expertise across licensing and partnership agreements.
• Results-driven and goal-oriented with a proactive approach to challenges. Adaptable and resilient in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
This is a contract role for approximately 6 months.
