WLKY Digital Media seeks a full time Digital Account Executive to become part of its sales team in the Louisville, KY market. WLKY/Hearst offers outstanding financial rewards and a professional, positive team atmosphere for the salesperson who can connect and deliver. This is a great opportunity for a proven digital sales professional. Ideal candidate will have experience selling digital media including but not limited to display, native, video and audience extension.
Job Responsibilities:
• Generate revenue across all WLKY & Hearst Digital platforms
• Prospect, contact and present to businesses to generate advertising revenue
• Manage client expectations and campaign results
• Develop new business from both ad agencies and direct advertisers
• Form strategic business and market partnerships
• Manage an active client list
• Regularly meet with digital sales manager to ensure progress on stated goals
• Prepare compelling, professionally written sales proposals
• Deliver well-articulated sales presentations to client/agency personnel
Experience Requirements:
• Minimum of two years' experience presenting and selling digital media advertising directly to businesses and advertising agencies
• Experience selling spot television is a bonus but not a requirement
• Applicants with other media sales experience will also be considered
• Military training and experience will be considered in lieu of TV/Radio sales experience
Qualifications
Requirements:
• Prospecting, selling and closing digital media advertising to direct businesses and advertising agencies. Digital Media advertising includes: Audience Extension, Native, Display and Video.
• Develop, maintain and prospect digital media business from traditional and non-traditional advertisers locally, regionally and nationally.
• Meet regularly with DSM to review activity, to plan and to collaborate on select initiatives.
• Prepare and present compelling marketing proposals utilizing quantitative and qualitative metrics.
• Maintain a robust sales funnel of prospects.
• Strategic implementation and training for new media products.
• Assemble, deliver and interpret monthly customer reports and campaign optimization.
• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills
Education:
• Bachelor's Degree Preferred
