POSITION SUMMARY:
The Inside Sales Manager will lead assigned sales team of Digital Sales Manager, Inside Sales Specialists and Inside Sales Account Strategists to meet & exceed overall sales metrics as set by management. The Inside Sales Manager must have the ability to create a culture to produce an Inside Sales high performing business development team. Must understand the strategy of audience selling, combining the best assets of the Hearst Media Services portfolio and convey that to the team. Must be able to manage and drive team performance, build client relationships and grow future business by identifying lead sources, utilizing Sales Force.com and the Refractive Dialer within Sales Force. This will by achieved by setting and measuring benchmarks and expectations of the Inside Sales Team.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Manage an inside sales team, with the primary focus on meeting or exceeding set sales goals
• Identify, conduct, provide training for Inside Sales Specialists and Account Strategists
• Effectively coach sales team to drive performance
• Establish performance objectives with focus on aggressively building active accounts.
• Conduct regular performance discussions and annual performance evaluations.
• Work with Finance to manage appropriate sales goals at the rep level
• Work with Finance to reconcile team bonuses
• Make use of available sales tools for tracking and monitoring
• Work with HR and Director and VP to identify talent for staff acquisition, retention and development.
• Work with the Customer Contact Manager to ensure your local associations and other organizations that apply to your account load are represented and your product offerings are presented regularly.
SKILL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
• 5 years sales experience
• High level digital knowledge
• Prior management experience preferred
• Excellent skills in leadership, team building, negotiation, issue resolution, innovation, customer service and knowledge of rate structures and products
• Outstanding communication & presentation skills required.
• Motivated, strategic self-starter with impeccable integrity.
• Willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced, changing media environment
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
• College degree or commensurate sales experience
