Primary Responsibilities:
• Provide administrative support and services including, but not limited to:
• Answering and directing incoming phone calls
• Sorting mail, processing invoices, and employee expenses
• Ordering newsroom supplies and monitoring supply inventory
• Formatting and distributing daily news budget, among other responsibilities
Competencies/Critical Skills:
• Good communication and interpersonal skills required
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook programs a must; Access a plus
• Requires a poised, detail-oriented person who is able to respond flexibly and promptly to the needs of a fast-paced metro newsroom
What are the measures of success for this position?
Efficient processing of invoices and expenses, prompt response to newsroom needs
Experience, Qualifications, Technical Requirements, Education:
• Bachelor's Degree preferred
• 3 to 5 years experience in support services in a professional environment is preferred
