The Associate Finance Director, Hearst Men's Group
The Associate Finance Director will assist in preparing and reviewing all financial data related to the performance of the men's group, including Esquire, Popular Mechanics, Men's Health, Car and Driver, Road & Track, Runner's World and Bicycling.
Responsibilities
Manage monthly expense financial close across advertising and editorial brands to adhere to bottom line expectancy, including preparing and recording journal entries (reclass and accruals).
Ensure financial records and systems are maintained in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
Work closely with men's group marketing dept heads to keep them on budget. Track Advertising Promotion expenses and forecast.
Assist key stakeholders on special projects and ad hoc analysis.
Track T&E expense.
Set up new best practice and processes as needed.
Education/Experience
4 year college degree, preferably BS in accounting
Strong knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
4 years financial experience; specific to magazine and or digital platforms a plus
Solid knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems.
Expert Excel skills required
