Full Time Job
This person will be responsible for sourcing & developing new consumer-revenue driven partnerships as well as growing existing ones. The role will require deep relationships with potential partners in media, e-commerce, technology, and experience building and growing successful long-term partnerships. You have a very strong understanding of the current media landscape and how to create consumer value. You have experience managing a P&L and developing revenue projections of potential deals. This position will report into the Vice President, Products & Partnerships.
Responsibilities:
• Lead business development & partnership on-boarding of consumer revenue partnerships for print and digital products.
• Lead the development of digital content platforms, including SVOD, that drive consumer revenue.
• Work with senior management to develop the overall business and revenue strategy for consumer revenue partnerships, including off-platform digital subscriptions, retail partnerships, in-app content revenue, exclusive membership deals, etc.
• Responsible for working cross-functionally with both Consumer Marketing & Edit on driving consumer partnership revenue.
• Draft term sheets that overview our key business terms and work with our Legal team on negotiating final terms.
• Work with the Partner Operations & Finance team to maintain and track pacing of existing partnerships.
• Work with the management team on modeling out broader business opportunities across business development, M&A, etc.
Requirements:
• 6 Years of experience in digital media, e-commerce, and/or consumer tech space.
• Track record of developing, structuring and growing business partnerships that deliver a significant contribution to the success of the business
• Strong negotiation and contract development skills
• Strong relationships at large technology platforms, media companies, and startups.
• Experience in an external-facing role
• Experience managing a team
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Analytics, Looker, Chartbeat, etc.
• Knowledge of media landscape, ad tech, traditional media, subscription models, etc.
