We are currently seeking an analytically-minded, creative, motivated and motivating Senior Project Manager to join our New York based Hearst Digital Media advertising team. In this position, you will lead the execution of custom content programs built in partnership between Hearst Magazines and our advertising clients. Once we sell a deal you own its success! You will work collaboratively to scope and deliver projects with our advertisers, internal marketing, sales and operations partners. This includes detailing deliverables, estimating timelines and resource requirements, optimizing and reporting results against client KPIs. As the project manager, you'll be the hub of the wheel coordinating activity among many internal and external stakeholders. Your goal will be to efficiently manage the development process, successfully deliver advertising projects on time and exceed client performance expectations.
As a Senior Project Manager, you will both manage your own programs and oversee 2-3 Project Managers to guide the success of their work.
Responsibilities Include:
• Oversee 2-3 Project Managers
• Plan, coordinate, and implement sold-in custom advertiser-driven campaigns across all Hearst digital properties, including iconic brands such as Cosmopolitan, Harpers Bazaar, Esquire, Men's Health and Elle and new digital-first brands such as Delish, Best Products and Sweet.
• Execute custom programs ranging from, but not limited to, sponsored content, sweepstakes/contests, videos, and social activations.
• Optimize to client KPIs throughout programs
• Communicate and partner with internal teams (i.e. Sales, Marketing, Editorial, Design, Copy, Social, Legal) and third party vendors to create custom content and ad products
• Lead client communication for all assigned programs
• Act as the on-set advocate for the client at photo and video shoots
• Build ad products using internal CMS system as needed
• Coordinate delivery of custom content elements in conjunction with display ad campaigns
• Troubleshoot issues discovered during QA, revising as needed
• Implement click & impression trackers for custom elements
• Manage expectations internally and externally regarding schedules, resources and budgets
• Ensure that campaigns launch on time, deliver exactly what was sold, and exceed all given benchmarks by optimizing when necessary
• Summarize, analyze and share results throughout campaigns
Requirements:
• Minimum of 5 years successful experience managing advertising or marketing projects for digital execution
• Knowledge of standard web applications, rich web technologies (e.g., Web 2.0, HTML,browsers, Flash, etc.)
• Web tracking and reporting expertise using tools such as Omniture and GoogleAnalytics
• Demonstrable expertise with QA tools and methodology
• Very strong organizational skills and eye for detail
• Ability to lead a cross-functional project team, juggle multiple projects at one time, and execute against firm deadlines
• Strong relationship building and communication skills
• Excellent writing skills
Additional experience desired:
• Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
• Platforms: Central Desktop, CMS, Google Analytics, DoubleClick for Publishers (DFP)
• Familiarity troubleshooting technical problems in HTML, JS, Flash, HTML5
