Hearst Media Solutions is looking for a Sales Director to oversee multiple projects across digital and integrated platforms. Responsibility is to focus on meeting and exceeding revenue and budget goals while focusing on driving profitable growth for his/her territory of accounts, agencies and/or markets. The Sales Director will be responsible for all digital advertising revenue within his/her list of accounts and must be a digital expert with a deep knowledge and understanding of the dynamics of the luxury category, and the competitive set. The Sales Director will also working in close collaboration with the brand teams on integrated opportunities. Consistent education surrounding the latest technology, trading platforms, marketing trends, data and metrics for success is crucial.
What you'll do
• Ability to meet or exceed sales goals as determined by management for the luxury category
• Learn and present the Hearst Media Solutions general presentation and have an in-depth knowledge of the unique dynamics of the marketplace.
• Deep understanding of all Hearst Media solutions offerings from branding to lower funnel solution.
• Identify and establish prospect lists and creating revenue opportunities.
• Work closely with the team to develop custom solutions based on customer needs.
• Attend 8-10 sales-calls/week, client entertaining, relationship building activities on a weekly basis.
Who you are
• 7 years minimum in online media ad sales or advertising agency experience.
• Strong sales skills with a proven track record.
• Customer centric attitude.
• Self-starter with strong team ideals and an entrepreneurial spirit.
• High level of integrated sales experience to maximize content offerings as well as collaboration with Integrated Hearst Magazine and Hearst Corporate initiatives.
• A focus on achieving sales metrics including exceeding the average deal size, average close ratio, CPM growth and ability to forecast projected revenue accurately
• Strong client and agency contacts across the luxury category is a plus.
• IAB Sales Certification preferred
• Must be proficient in SalesForce to manage business and move from RFP to IO actualization.
