Hearst Magazines is looking for a Research Coordinator to join our team in Center Valley, PA. This is an amazing opportunity to work across many of our iconic brands such as Cosmopolitan, Car and Driver, Esquire, Elle and more. This is a junior position with an exceptional opportunity as it develops the necessary skills to identify a brand's equity. The basic purpose of this position is to generate data about our magazines and websites. Data collection addresses everything from magazine buyer behavior to audience delivery and will be used primarily by the publishing/ad sales staff. This media and market intelligence comes from various information databases and sources from which each brand subscribes. The individual in this position will work directly with the research managers.
Although the primary role of this position is gleaning data/insights from various sources (85%,) this individual will also be expected to help with a limited amount of administrative duties for the department, such as scheduling meetings, ordering supplies, etc. (15%)
The databases primarily used include: MRI, IPSOS, COMSCORE, LISTEN FIRST and others. Additional resources include, advertising expenditure data (PIB), editorial paging (MEDIA RADAR) or circulation data (AAM).
Requirements:
• An aptitude for numbers
• Strong knowledge of Excel and familiarity with PowerPoint and Word
• Team player with the ability to work well with others
• Strong attention to detail
• Drive and desire to break into the media field
• Familiarity with resources such as advertising expenditure data (PIB), editorial paging (MEDIA RADAR) or circulation data (AAM) is a plus
