Hearst Digital Media is looking for a Pricing Analyst to join the Pricing Department. This is a fantastic learning experience that can lead to greater opportunities within Hearst Digital Media. The person must be extremely organized, a self-starter, a fast learner, and highly motivated to go above and beyond what is expected.
Reporting to the Director of Yield, the Pricing Analyst will work with the team to ensure the financial objectives of all Custom Content and Video programs are met, and that net profit is maximized. In addition to preparing and managing all budgets and tracking expenses, the Pricing Analyst will provide summaries to management and make recommendations to improve efficiencies and margin.
General Responsibilities
• Work with Content Studio, Video and Marketing team to price out custom content programs during the RFP process to ensure HDM is maximizing profits and adhering to margin goals
• Manage expenses for all sold programs and assist with internal reports tracking margin, time utilization and analysis
• Provide internal budgets to operating teams and confirm accuracy of booking details upon sale of program
• Ensure time entry across relevant departments is submitted weekly and coded to appropriate project
• Analyze project margin upon completion is completed to influence pre-sale pricing
• Submit, code and audit all invoices and track by project
• Review monthly billing/re-classes with the Financial Director at month-end close
• Assist in monthly accrual process
Qualifications
• 0-3 years experience
• Bachelor's Degree or higher
• Basic knowledge of financial budgets with excellent analytical and reporting skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• The ability to multi-task with attention to detail
• Must be self-motivated with ability to conceptualize new and improve existing best practices and reporting
• Strong Excel Skills
