Hearst Magazines Digital Media is looking for a Partner Development Manager in New York, NY. This person would drive our partnership development efforts for content syndication. This person would come in with established relationships at potential platforms, preferably in digital media, OTT, and linear. We are looking for someone scrappy and analytical with a track record of building successful long-term partnerships. In addition, he or she has experience creating business analyses to project the revenue and cost structure of potential deals.
Leading our content licensing efforts, specifically for editorial text and video content on new distribution platforms.
Positioning and presenting our value proposition in a compelling and authentic way to potential partners.
Working cross-functionally with the Editorial and Partnerships teams to identify and evaluate new opportunities (domestically and internationally), and to leverage the full breadth of our brands and storytelling capabilities.
Analyzing prospective revenue opportunities via financial modeling and forecasts.
Working with the Hearst Legal team on developing term sheets for potential partnerships.
3 years experience in a business development, business strategy, strategic partnerships, or similar type of role is preferred
Great at balancing strategic & creative thinking and tangible execution
Strong understanding of the current media landscape and trends, and an interest in finding the next emerging platform.
Strong understanding of syndication and content licensing terms.
Strong long-term relationship building skills required
Proficient in MS Office, CRM, Google Analytics, AirTable, etc.
Excellent presentation and communication skills
Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment
