Hearst is seeking a Manager, HR Business Partner who will be responsible for handling full cycle recruitment and generalist support. This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional who thrives in fast paced, high energy environments and wants to hone their HR expertise.
Responsibilities:
• Build credible relationships with key management, business stakeholders and peers
• Develop timely, cost-effective staffing strategies to identify and attract a diverse pool of qualified candidates for all job openings
• Counsel on performance management issues, career development, and conflict resolution
• Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Conduct effective and thorough investigations and recommend/implement courses of action based on results
• Interpret HR policy issues and provide guidance on employment laws and regulations
• Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale and increase retention
• Manage various special projects as needed (onboarding, employee engagement, etc.)
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree
• 3-4 years of previous Human Resource experience; prior media/digital/tech experience a big plus
• Ability to handle high volume, fast paced recruiting across all levels
• Must be familiar with the latest recruiting techniques and trends
• Strong coaching and counseling skills
• Excellent written/verbal communication and presentation skills
• Superior judgment and attention to detail
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to build and maintain positive working relationships internally and externally
• Strong team player
• Must be flexible with strong multi-tasking skills
• Proficient in Microsoft office with a particular emphasis on Excel and Power Point
• Solid working knowledge of applicable state and federal employment and labor laws and governmental compliance requirements (ADA, FLSA, Title VII, FMLA etc.)
