Why Hearst Magazines?
Hearst Magazines is one of the largest publishers in the world, with more than 25 brands, including Cosmopolitan, ELLE, Esquire, Good Housekeeping, Harper's BAZAAR, Popular Mechanics, and O the Oprah Magazine. We reach more than 150 million people every month in the United States alone.
But we're more than just our magazines. We engage our audience across all mediums and channels - print, digital, video and social – with sophisticated content creation, distribution and data capabilities. We create, package and sell products with cutting-edge technology and proprietary platforms. Together, we are reinventing publishing for the 21st century.
About HearstMade
HearstMade is the in-house branded content studio for all of Hearst Magazines, and creates world-class content for our hyper-engaged audience of more than 300 million readers and subscribers. We're a team of editors, writers, designers, photo directors, talent bookers, and video producers who love nothing more than a well-crafted story, and we're looking to add a well-rounded Lifestyle Editor to the team. Through a combination of data-driven insight and editorial instinct, we create stories that not only get attention but drive action.
Your impact
The Lifestyle Editor will work on all lifestyle branded content programs from pre-sale brainstorms through post-sale execution, conceptualizing, packaging, writing or editing custom co-branded content, and collaborating heavily with video and photo teams. Our lifestyle content covers a wide breadth of topics for brands like Cosmopolitan, Harper's BAZAAR, Marie Claire, Good Housekeeping and more. It includes-but isn't limited to-travel, home and cleaning, entertainment, weddings, money and finance, family and parenting, tech and gadgets, sex and dating.
The Lifestyle Editor will work closely with site directors and social editors to ensure content feels authentic, engaging, and in-line with each brand's editorial voice-this content must be as exciting and well-executed as pure edit.
