Your Impact
Shop Bazaar is looking for a Digital Designer to create visuals and creative assets for Shop Bazaar brand across digital channels (website, social media platforms, email newsletter and all extensions of the brand). This position will report into the Editorial Director and work closely with its editors to provide imagery and content that furthers the storytelling that enriches a luxury e-commerce shopping experience. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with some of the most passionate and creative team members in the entire industry. Shop Bazaar is a unique hybrid of content and commerce; leveraging 153 years of Harper's BAZAAR editorial authority, our team works closely with boutique marketplace retail partners and 20 affiliate partners to bring consumers the very best products every season. The ideal candidate will be creative, innovative, reliable, nimble, and someone who thrives in a fast-paced digital environment who has a deep love of fashion, luxury and shopping.
What you'll do
• Design and create visual properties, creative assets for Shop Bazaar brand and extensions
• Copywriting support and collaboration with Senior Content & Social Manager for all digital Shop Bazaar channels, including website, email, social, and digital marketing
• Work on projects from conception to post-production, making sure Shop Bazaar programs meet brand standards and timelines
• Collaborate with editors to design visuals and create device-specific graphics for daily email stories, branded programs, site features and social media content
• Collaborate with e-commerce team to create digitally-optimized e-commerce product imagery from brand vendors and editorial creative studio
• Coordinate Harper's BAZAAR in-magazine product shoots and coordinate post-production and retouching
• Create design assets to support digital marketing campaigns across platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Google and Bing
• Create motion-driven assets for social and advertising campaigns
• Create and test creative innovation in visual storytelling across platforms
• Support creative team in larger projects on an as-needed basis
Who you are
• Bachelor's Degree
• 2-3 years relevant experience as a creative designer and copywriter, producing digital-first content in desktop, mobile and social-friendly formats
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• A flexible, approachable attitude with creative problem-solving skills and collaborative approach to challenges
• Proven multi-tasker with ability to manage several projects simultaneously under tight deadlines and accommodate rapid changes
• Strong attention to detail
• Skilled at using typography and type design
• Excel at producing digital-friendly content
• Proficient in digital design programs such as InDesign, Photoshop, Figma
• Experience in creating GIFs and motion graphics
• Passionate about fashion and beauty trends and how people engage with them online
• Thoughtful problem solver, ready to suggest innovative and creative solutions
