Hearst Magazines is looking for a fulltime Commerce Content Manager to pitch, curate, write, and manage the strategy for sales-focused content for our portfolio of lifestyle and enthusiast brands, including Cosmopolitan, Harper's Bazaar, Delish, Good Housekeeping, and Men's Health. The ideal person for this gig is obsessed with online shopping and finding the best sales on buzzy items - including trendy stuff for the home, great scores on appliances, the latest health tools, beauty must-haves, popular techy stuff, cool kids stuff, and more. Even better: You're a pro at diving into data and using reporting tools to inform voice-y, super shareable, and smartly packaged articles.
What you'll do
• Write 3-5 original sale-focused pieces of content weekly.
• Assign and edit content from a small team of freelance deals writers.
• Stay on top of the latest deals and working with our preferred retailers to plan for sale events in advance.
• Serve as the internal expert and a proactively teach teams how to make better data-driven decisions and use available tools/reports.
• Track performance of content in order to inform and execute new areas of growth to increase affiliate commerce revenue.
Who you are
• 3 years' experience creating lifestyle content at a digital-first outlet - strong preference for candidates with a background in commerce content.
• Sharp writing and self-editing skills.
• Well-versed in building strong relationships with colleagues and explaining complex topics in simple terms.
• Understands analytics and can translate them into editorial action - familiarity with Google Analytics, Looker, Skimlinks, or similar reporting tools is a plus.
