Associate Love & Lifestyle Editor, Womenshealthmag.Com
WomensHealthMag.com is looking for an Associate Love & Lifestyle Editor to oversee its sex & love and lifestyle verticals. In addition to helping shape the point of view of these sections, the person in this role will write, assign, and edit a mix of news posts, service-forward articles, product-focused galleries, personal essays, and features, all while staying constantly clued into various performance analytics and using insights gleaned from that data to inform future content.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee and manage the daily lineups for the sex & love and lifestyle verticals
• Assess daily news pitches from staff editors and assign time-sensitive posts, both in-house and to freelance stringers, as necessary
• Brainstorm ideas for content across the site, but particularly in your designated verticals
• Edit multiple evergreen posts per day
• Assign longer-lead stories to and maintain relationships with freelancers
• Manage a list of SEO keywords for your assigned verticals and create engaging, high-quality content targeting those keywords
• Create regular analytics reports highlighting high (and low) performing content from the sex & love and lifestyle verticals
Requirements:
• At least 3 years' editorial experience, with at least 1 year in digital
• Strong writing, reporting, and editing skills
• Excellent news judgment
• A dedicated interest in sexuality, relationships, and all things celebrity
• A strong freelancer network to draw from
• A strong grasp of SEO and social media best practices, as well as which stories are designed to perform best via various distribution points
• Experience using Google Analytics or a comparable analytics tool and using it to make data-driven content choices
• Bachelor's degree
