The Job
WarnerMedia seeks a Manager, Distribution Technology for the Distribution Technology & Operations department.
This position will manage a wide program of global linear and non-linear/VOD technical services and launch operations with external partners and vendors, including incident management, requirements gathering, identifying technical solutions, crafting tech use cases and workflow building & testing, while also leading technical enhancements for content delivery and troubleshooting efforts across all WarnerMedia brands and regions, servicing all new and hundreds of existing partners.
The Daily
Manage new technical feature requests from both external partners and internal business teams, aligning technical and non-technical teams to achieve shared goals with our partners, managing vendors and devising technical solutions while ensuring adherence to Media Supply Chain strategy. Work with existing tools to reduce duplication, leveraging unified, global workflows for content distribution. Inform global distribution strategy by authoring regular reporting and aligning partner priorities with WM's global and regional content distribution goals.
Own a program of new partner onboarding projects and manage existing day to day content distribution operations to ensure successful delivery of all media consistent with contractual obligations and parity requirements across multiple platforms and technologies, including catalog management and coordinated QA efforts. Represent WMTO in all technical partner conversations, successfully routing issues and requests internally. Manage existing Distribution Technology Analyst as a direct report.
Lead troubleshooting efforts across all distribution platforms and supported regions, ensuring timely resolution of incidents and consistent messaging to senior management. Drive RCA formulation for major incidents and work with internal support teams and external operations teams to improve asset and service uptime.
Author technical and process documentation to guarantee associated operations teams are aware of distribution architecture. Work with Ops management to train support staff and oversee successful operational handoffs.
The Essentials
• 8 years of experience in a TV/OTT environment.
• 5 years of project management experience.
• Subject matter expert in global metadata formats, video encoding, DAI, Vendor Management & workflow development in a multimedia environment.
• Outstanding problem solving and people skills.
• Outstanding oral & written communication skills.
• Industry knowledge of multiple content delivery technologies
• Bachelor's or higher
Desirable
• Knowledge of linear broadcast environments
• Management of people, workflows and systems
• Media operations experience
• PMP, Program Management experience a plus
• Technical certifications
