Full Time Job
The Job
Located in New York or LA (remote for now) and reporting to the VP, Social & Editorial Content, Brand Marketing, this position will be responsible for social media content creation strategy and operations across HBO and HBO Max brand social profiles. The Director will work with internal stakeholders throughout WarnerMedia to craft a cohesive brand POV across all platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and emerging platforms. The ideal candidate has extensive digital/social and publishing experience including content production, analyzing insights, and leading a team through the changing media landscape. The position requires a leader who is extremely organized with exceptional communication and writing skills.
The Daily
• Increase brand visibility and engagement across all brand social pages.
• Oversee daily social content calendars for TW, IG, FB, ensuring best practices and accurate brand tone-of-voice and creative.
• Ensure creativity while defining content rollout strategy, scheduling, and reporting.
• Lead a team of strategists, creatives, community managers, and external agencies to create compelling, culturally resonant content for social platforms to meet our expanding audiences.
• Expand and refine the social brand voice and presence of HBO Max.
• Review performance data and partner with audience development lead to optimize the social strategy and grow audiences.
• Possess knowledge of trends, emerging platforms, and new technologies in the social and digital marketing space.
• Partner closely with internal stakeholders across WarnerMedia to execute and deliver on social priorities.
• Build a team and culture in line with the organization's values.
The Essentials
• 6-8 years relevant social experience at an entertainment company, publisher or agency is preferred.
• Experience managing and coaching teams.
• A creative portfolio of proven work with an ability to generate and develop new ideas.
• Demonstration of outstanding creative and editorial judgment and a forward-thinking attitude.
• Desire to work in a fast paced environment.
• Interest in, and knowledge of, HBO, HBO Max programming, and streaming entertainment category is preferred.
