H+M is dedicated to multicultural marketing with special focus on the U.S. Hispanic market and has become one of the top multicultural agencies trusted by many brands, film studios, television networks, content producers and distributors over the past fifteen years. H+M's expertise spans media and community relations, influencer outreach, grassroots/experiential marketing, and sponsorship development and activation. Some of our clients include: Universal Pictures, Telemundo, Fox Searchlight, Paramount, Comcast, Pantelion, STRONG by Zumba, and Sony Pictures Television among others.
Summary: The candidate will support the Field Publicity and Promotions team, primarily focusing on the agency's Television and Movie accounts. The candidate should be creative, a fan of Spanish-language television and films, and have a solid knowledge base of Latino pop culture.
Responsibilities include:
- Oversee media relations and coordinate promotions to support the overall Field campaign
- Draft pitches for media/journalists/influencers (in Spanish and English)
- Responsible to pitch/follow-up with media
- Coordinate promotional giveaways/barter promotions with Hispanic media (TV, radio, blogs)
- Write editorial pieces for bloggers, wesbites and print outlets
- Cover events, press days, screenings, and other events in the city
- Research influencer and media trends/best practices
- Maintain/update internal databases, including media and promotional partner lists, contacts, and vendor database
- Proofread various documents and assemble client reports
- Provide administrative support such as client expense reports
- Manage reports, update coverage, and compile recaps
- Participate in agency brainstorms
- Aid in assembling presentations
Qualifications:
- 1+ years of agency experience
- Bilingual candidates are required (read and write in Spanish and English) with prior experience and/or interest in pursuing a career in marketing, publicity or communications
- A degree in Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, Communications or English is preferred
- The applicant should possess excellent writing and communications skills, be detail oriented, organized, personable and be able to work on a variety of projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
- Applicant must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel), as well as be Social Networking/Internet savvy
