Public Relations Assistant

This is a Full Time Job

*Searches and monitors thousands of media outlets on a daily basis, to find GSN’s coverage and other relevant stories
*Oversees accounts with media databases and other vendors. Orders TV and radio interviews
*Prepares press clips for internal distribution
*Manages GSN’s corporate website on a continual basis – uploads new content + approves new users
*Sends out network’s schedule grids and all updates to listings providers
*Researches and updates media lists for mailings and e-mail distribution of press releases and other press materials
*Handles all departmental administrative duties
*Coordinates all media mailings and e-blasts
*Assists with media relations

Qualifications:
*Strong written & verbal communications skills
*At least one year of entertainment publicity or corporate communications experience
*Strong attention to detail; fast learner
*Able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
*Proficiency with online research
*Ability to grasp big picture & think independently
*Familiarity with online media databases & media coverage vendors
*Proficiency with social media & good knowledge of entertainment press
*Desire to learn & grow in entertainment Communications field
*B.A. degree in Communications, English, Journalism or related field
