Part Time Job
Gregg Baker Management, an established bi-coastal talent management company representing actors for Theater, Film & TV is currently seeking a motivated individual to work as the direct assistant to the owner, Gregg Baker in the LA office. Primary focus will be on clients based in NY for Theatre, TV/Film, and some Commercial/Print work. The position also has rapid potential growth to become a Jr. Manager within the company based on experience and/or performance.
The perfect candidate will have the following skills:
- Extremely strong communication skills--both written & verbal
- A proactive self-starter/team player
- Strong work ethic--no task is too small, and you will not stop until the task has been completed
- Thick skin
- Passionate about the Entertainment Business and the Arts-knowledge of theatre is a huge plus!
- Punctual
- Flexible and easy going. Not every day is the same, you must be able to roll with the punches
- Understand that there is an importance level in certain tasks so must be able to prioritize
- A reliable source of transportation
- A sense of humor
Very Important: If you are a model or actor or aspiring to be one, this is not a job for you. Assistant will not be allowed to miss work for castings or other meetings.
Responsibilities:
- Direct contact with casting and managing client's schedules and appointments
- Arranging owners calendar and occasionally booking and setting travel schedule
- Online research
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Occasional personal/business errands
- Really looking for someone who has the ability and desire to learn on the ground level how to properly run a management company and learn the ins and outs of the business
- Updating social media for the company
-Knowledge of breakdown express is a plus
Experience required: Willing to train the right individual who has extreme drive, motivation, and passion for the job!
Pay: DOE (hourly) + structured commission bonuses
