The HR Managers' mission is to inspire and nurture Gravillis™ employees while staying assertive and patient. Provide an environment where the Gravillis culture is known, keeping employees engaged and motivated to stay hungry. The HR Manager also works to ensure Gravillis increases in employee retention, and provides an attractive environment for prospective employees and contractors.
Primary Responsibilities
-Build and maintain healthy and productive work environment
-Keep staff motivated, engaged and involved
-Provide environment for a positive culture around the studio
-Manage new hire training while working closely with the General Manager and Studio Manager to ensure successful on-boarding
Engage with each Staff Member and Design Assistants on a daily basis
-Serve as a career advisor by supporting and challenging employees to achieve their work goals while meeting performance expectations
-Offer ongoing support and challenge each employee to achieve his/her work goals throughout the year
-Oversee day-to-day HR activities and resolves staff issues regarding benefits, PTO and payroll
-Work closely with upper management in keeping all HR information up to date and documented
-Execute, plan and manage all staff events in studio and outside studio
-Manage master calendar for vacation and sick time
-Maintains manager and employee confidence by keeping human resources information confidential
-Manage and execute all recruitment, job postings and resume screening
-Directly assist, anticipate, and manage the needs of the Project Management team by proactively assembling the appropriate teams and resources to ensure projects and meetings are executed effectively
-Manage and execute all Gravillis™ travel for all executives and/or employees.
-Maintain brand integrity and alignment by ensuring all communications are representative of the CEO's and Chief Creative Officer's personal brands and the Gravillis Inc. brand and culture.
-Assist Gravillis Inc. bookkeeper with Studio Expenses by reconciling credit cards and travel expenses
-Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements and Qualifications (Technical and Non-Technical)
-Minimum 3+ years experience in similar position and environment (creative/marketing studio)
-Excellent communication skills both written and verbally
-Experience with HR onboarding, benefits, PTO, Time sheets
-Expert in company policies, guidelines and missions
-Must be self-motivated and take initiative with decision-making ability
-Ability to work independently and within a team; a multi-tasker & self starter with strong leadership abilities
-Forward looking thinker, who actively seeks opportunities and proposes solutions
-Highly resourceful team-player, with the ability to also be extremely effective independently
-Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion & be adaptable to various competing demands
-Strong strategic, analytical and problem-solving skills; demonstrate intuitive and critical thinking skills
-Strong organizational and time management skills
-Expert in Microsoft Office Suite, internet at a high proficiency level
