Goldcrest Post New York is recruiting for a full-time Vault Manager. This role will provide support to our picture finishing department, which includes colorists and finishing artists. The Vault Manager position will be a great fit for someone passionate about picture finishing and highly interested in pursuing a career in post-production.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage the vault and ensure accessibility and security of client materials. This task involves developing and carrying out drive organization, as well as maintaining file structures and naming conventions and shipping materials out per client request.
• Actively monitor data I/O and overall media management.
• Communicate with clients via email when materials arrive or are dispatched. This requires a client facing demeanor.
• Facilitate the digital and physical delivery of completed files including ProRes, DPX/TIFF sequences, DCPs, and more.
• Perform first glance checks of client hard drives to check for errors or incorrect files.
• Manage and maintain project data by archiving to LTO tapes using YoYotta.
• Purchase LTO tape stock and DCP CRU and shuttle drives as necessary, recall materials from offsite storage, and maintain a working relationship with active vendors.
• Research and implement ways to improve continuity, speed, and safety of the above processes.
Supplementary Responsibilities:
• Perform full QC on above deliverables before they are sent to clients and distributors.
• Assist with conform tasks of feature films, episodic television, and short films on DaVinci Resolve.
Qualifications & Skills Required:
• A demonstrated history of being detail oriented, organized, and respectful.
• Proficient with Mac OS.
• Developed understanding of different media file types
• Experience using DaVinci Resolve, Avid Media Composer, or Adobe Premiere CC.
• Bachelor's Degree in a technical or creative field.
• Strong written and verbal interpersonal communication skills.
• Self-motivated and ambitious with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
