Part Time Paid Internship
Glendale Arts is seeking a college-level Graphic Design & Marketing Intern for the Glendale International Film Festival, taking place in person from September 29-October 6, 2022 in Glendale, CA. The majority of the hours leading up to the festival will be fulfilled working remotely. In person hours will be required during the event.
The Graphic Design & Marketing Intern position entails a variety of duties and assignments, including but not limited to:
• Graphic Design: Generating design assets for print and digital mediums, such as the GIFF program book, social media graphics, posters, print ads, and display banners.
• Video Content Creation: Creating video content such as reels for social media and video packages for the GIFF awards ceremony.
• Marketing: Assisting with content writing, website updates, social media posting and outreach, media list generation, research, and other areas as needed.
The position requires creativity, attention to detail, quick-thinking, resourcefulness, organization, and flexibility. A computer, driver's license, and vehicle/mode of transportation are required.
Pre-Festival
• Work with COO to fulfill duties in the areas listed above to promote and prepare for the festival.
During Festival
• Work with COO in coordination with the festival team to capture and post behind-the-scenes photos, moments, and stories
• Create design assets as needs arise
• Assist with additional on-site duties as needed, such as coordinating talent and VIPs, serving as a runner, and location/event set-up and strike
Post-Festival
• Complete staff survey, team debrief, and reconcile accounts (if needed)
• Assist with post-festival marketing and messaging tasks, such as generating design assets, coordinating stakeholder follow-ups and communications, and archiving photos and videos

• Programs: Proficient in and comfortable using Adobe Creative Cloud programs, primarily Photoshop and Illustrator; Microsoft Word and Excel; Google Drive; Dropbox; and GoDaddy
• Social Media Platforms: Proficient in and comfortable using Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, creating and publishing posts and Stories
• Major in Graphic Design, Marketing, Communications, or English preferred, but not required
Candidates must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19.
Dates & Hours
This position is open immediately. The intern is estimated to work a minimum of 10 hours per week through the week of October 10 and may work additional hours depending on availability and desire to learn and participate. Must have availability to work in person between September 29 and October 6. Hours and schedule will be discussed and mutually agreed upon.
