DESCRIPTION:
Internship Start Date/Season: September 30
Internship Duration: 2 - 3 Months
Time/Days Required: 2 Days / Week, in Office
Workplace Requirements: Laptop computer
While your day-to-day tasks may vary, we consider our intern staff full members of our development and production team. Some of our more general tasks range from creative projects, diving into research, receiving and covering scripts, managing our front desk, and occasionally assisting on set as a PA. In addition to working alongside the heads of Gigantic Pictures, interns also work directly with our writers, directors, and outside collaborators. Our goal is to provide you with as many educational and networking opportunities as we can to help you excel in your career.
Our internship runs from Late September/Early October through December/January, requiring a commitment of 2 days per week in office. We offer college credit, but it is not required. While we generally work with film students, anybody who is new to the industry and looking to learn new skills is welcome to apply.
We are interested in applicants who have the ability to join us at our Chelsea office, in-person.
What We're Looking For:
• Strong writing and analytical skills that will be employed while crafting executive summaries, letters, and script coverage for our Director of Development.
• Organization and troubleshooting skills are a must. Ability to break down problems step-by-step.
• We love creative applicants, but those who also possess nuts and bolts producing skills (budgeting, logistics, etc.) and strong research skills have the greatest success in our environment.
• Though significant film experience is a plus, this is a great opportunity for those who have little experience but do possess a great attitude and are eager to learn.
