Search for Metadata and Packaging Operator - XML jobs in New York-NY
We currently have an opening for a Metadata Packaging Operator in our New York, NY office.
Day shift - typical hours M-F 10:00am - 6:30pm
Responsibilities:
- Creation and verification of XML documents for multiple vendors on a per order basis.
- Complete delivery using Aspera, Transporter and other file transferring methods
- Assemble finalized assets into one complete delivery package
- Resizing and optimizing images based on specific platform requirements
- Asset management - backing up and restoring projects as needed
- Working with other departments to ensure deliveries are correct and on time
Qualifications:
- XML and Excel creation and editing experience a must
- 1+ years of digital entertainment metadata and packaging experience
- Working knowledge of Mac Captions
- Experience in building out metadata to platform specification.
- Knowledge of Digital Delivery process from assets received through upload to digital platforms
- Excellent verbal and written skills; ability to clearly explain asset and delivery issues to people outside of department
- Familiarity with basic film/video concepts, such as resolution, frame rate, NTSC, PAL, HD
- Technical understanding of the various codec formats
- Experience with digital video/audio encoding systems
- Knowledge of file formats, digital file delivery and/or digital platforms and platform
specifications
- Keen attention to detail
- Ability to work in a self-directed and fast-paced environment
- Strong organization skills and ability to manage a heavy workload
- Positive, can-do attitude

- MAC and PC proficiency
