Garry Marshall Theatre, a 130-seat Equity nonprofit theatre in Burbank/Toluca Lake, is seeking a Technical Director.
Responsibilities include: overseeing all scenic and technical aspects of the physical production of the theatre's programming; constructing scenery on site; coordinating crews for build, load-in and strike; running tech for rentals, workshops, and special events; maintaining technical equipment inventories; maintaining a safe work environment.
Must be: skilled in scenic carpentry and rigging for the stage; able to interpret scenic & drafting drawings and schedules; effective at communicating with designers and directors; effective at positive problem-solving and suggesting options; proficient at tracking expenses within budget limits; a detail-oriented and a trustworthy team player.
Schedule will vary, especially during tech week for productions.
Salary commensurate with experience.
