Gamechanger Films is a production and content development company dedicated to groundbreaking narratives that disrupt the status quo and advance the cultural conversation.
Gamechanger Films launched in 2013 as the first equity fund dedicated to financing feature films directed by women in order to address gender disparity in the film industry. In January 2020, veteran, award-winning producer Effie T. Brown was named the new CEO of Gamechanger Films. Brown is broadening the fund's scope to include projects by and about people with disabilities, LGBTQ+, people of color and YES that includes men from underrepresented communities, as well.
SUMMARY OF THE POSITiON
Gamechanger Films is seeking a full-time Executive Assistant who will provide support to the CEO. This opportunity provides an excellent experience for an individual with a strong interest in producing and developing content for different platforms (film, TV, streaming, podcasts, etc.).
Reporting directly the CEO, the ideal candidate will have experience with efficiently supporting top-level executives. The candidate should think of no task as too big or too small and be ready to jump in when needed to support the team. A successful candidate will be a highly motived self-starter with a positive attitude, who is extremely detail-oriented, with strong organization skills and possess the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. With multiple projects going into production in LA & outside of LA in the upcoming year, travel is required for this position.

LOCATION
The position is in-person and the office is located in Echo Park.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Coordinate the CEO's calendar and schedules appointments, ensure all parties are informed of and kept abreast of schedule awareness. May be asked to schedule appointments for other executives of the company as needed
• Coordinate travel arrangements, complete expense reports for the CEO
• In coordination with the head of Business Affairs, process invoices and deal agreements; ensure required signatures are obtained
• Assist with special projects and perform other related duties as assigned by the Head of Business Affairs & Operations, Head of Development, and Head of Production
• Attend meetings and other functions as needed, take detailed notes during the meeting; is responsible for any follow-up action items (e.g. sending a script)
• Perform general clerical duties including but not limited to filing, scanning, and mailing
• Keep updated contact records on Podio; create vCards for the CEO
• As assigned from the CEO, read scripts and give input
• Organize the CEO's business duties by keeping track of to-do lists, reminders, follow-ups, and assist her on completing these tasks
• Travel is required.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• 2+ years of desk experience at an agency, a studio, or a production company; this is not an entry-level position
• Bachelor's degree (B.A.) or equivalent
• Excellent verbal and communication skills
• Proficient on:
o Microsoft Office Suite; including Outlook and Teams • Apple/iOS
o Zoom
o IMDB and IMDBPro
• Versatility flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
• Acute attention to detail
• Commitment to excellence and high standards
• Ability to work on complex projects with general direction and minimal guidance; can work independently
• Creative, flexible, and innovative team player
• Ability to deal effectively and create strong relationships with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels; this includes investors, directors, writers, actors, crew, executives, etc.
• Strong organization, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow
• Demonstrated ability to plan and organize projects
• Ability to meet deadlines
• High level of professionalism in dealing with confidential and sensitive issues
NICE TO HAVES
• Able to navigate and use the following:
o Canva
o Airtable
o Podio
o Adobe
o Movie Magic Budgeting
• Knowledge of director, writers, agents, and managers
• Have an interest in and is able to speak about current content (film, TV, streaming, podcasts, etc.)
• Experience with being on set; knowing the different departments are their function
• Basic design experience or a creative eye
