JOB DESCRIPTION
FX Networks is seeking a Producer of Social Media to handle the distribution of marketing, promotional and other strategic partnership content, creation of original content, and community management of official social network pages on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr, etc. in support of FX Networks and its original and syndicated programming.
The producer is expected to be a subject matter expert for their assigned properties, with the ability to devise creative plans and detailed calendars in support of their efforts. They must be able to manage agencies, ensure a high degree of quality control on their projects and communicate their plans internally to ensure they fit with the network's overall marketing strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
Defines editorial schedule, and performs daily management of FX and FXX content on assigned social platforms using approved content or embedded applications
Creates original video, still and gif content for distribution on assigned social platforms with necessary approvals
Identifies, evaluates and executes ways to leverage network content as new features are introduced on assigned social platforms
Project management
Content Calendars - Develop calendars tracking release schedule of all appropriate FX marketing materials, including original social content
Content vendors - Management of third party vendors developing content for social distribution
Ideate with members of the Social Media team, including VP and Director of Social Media and Content to concept, scope, design and develop new experiences
Assist with the development of live events involving network talent on social platforms working with members of the Social Media team, FX Publicity, content teams and external vendors
Provide interdepartmental support for paid online media campaigns and integrated promotions leveraging network social platforms and applications
Secure creative assets from internal FX departments and embedded content producers
Compile and distribute usage data for analytics and consumer insights
Leverage FXNetworks.com user generated content, production blogs, web applications and other content on social platforms
Requirements/Qualifications:
Four year college degree with a creative focus preferred
3+ years related experience in interactive marketing or social media role at a consumer-facing Internet, agency or entertainment company required
Media or entertainment industry experience is a plus
Must be proactive, multifaceted, capable of working on concurrent complex projects and able to communicate effectively to digital team members, vendors and executives
Strong writing skills and good editorial judgment necessary
Experience with budgeting and scope review from a product development perspective
Ability to analyze and learn from reporting data and insights
Strong familiarity with web technologies and social media platforms
Skill with Photoshop, Illustrator, video editing software and other creative tools a plus
Avid user of social networking sites including Twitter, Facebook, Snapchat, Instagram, Pinterest, reddit and Tumblr with solid understanding of the current feature set of each platform
Ability to work in a fast paced environment and able to adjust to rapid changes
