Based in our Glendale, CA headquarters, Fuse Media is currently seeking a Senior Financial Analyst. This individual will be an essential member of the Fuse Media Corporate FP&A team. This is a high visibility, high impact and high potential role; part of a small team that reports directly into the SVP of Finance & Accounting. The ideal candidate brings a keen intelligence, a high level of natural curiosity, and a desire to incessantly learn.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Performs monthly financial results review and reporting (variance analysis) and provide recommendations and feedback to senior management on the current and future financial positions of the business.
• Partner with department heads to become their trusted business partner. Leverage these relationships to gain better insight into the drivers of the business.
• Performs ad hoc financial analysis as needed and provide recommendations to different stakeholders in the company with an ability to balance the details while keeping the big picture in mind.
• Maintain and enhance complex financial models to prepare for annual budgeting as well as monthly and quarterly forecasts
• Develop standardized financial and operational reporting, including key metrics and dashboards for dissemination to BoD and executive management
• Assist in the preparation of the annual budget including report creation, communication and collaboration with stakeholders, financial model updates and budget presentations
• Create tracking reports and perform analysis on financial information to drive the forecasting process and strategic decisions for all departments, supporting them with the requisite financial management tools
• Provide analytical support through detailed variance analysis, interaction with the Sales team, and a focus on revenue planning, forecasting and modeling.
• Participate in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, long-range financial plans, measurements of operational performance, and other KPIs.
• Review and verify financial reports for strategic planning and client analysis.
• Create financial models and perform analysis for business leaders and client strategy.
• Identify and implement process improvements.
QUALIFICATIONS
• 3-5 Years of progressive Finance experience, preferably with experience working for a top tier management consulting firm or investment bank
• Undergraduate degree in Finance (MBA a plus)
• Proven capability in strategic problem framing, issue identification, and the development of practical business solutions
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking skills; financial acumen and grasp of finance fundamentals
• Knowledge of and familiarity with accounting
• Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
• Strong financial modeling skills (intermediate/advanced Excel capabilities, MS Access a plus)
