We are looking for an enthusiastic candidate with a proven track record of pitching and securing media placements in the music/entertainment space. The ideal candidate will have existing strong music industry and entertainment media contacts. We are looking for someone who is creative and a proactive go-getter looking to join a positive and collaborative growing team.
As a full-service public relations firm, Full Scope PR specializes in strategic communications, media management, brand development, growth strategizing and community connection, with an ever-evolving expertise in entertainment, brand, corporate and philanthropy sectors.
Qualifications:
- Must have extensive, established media contacts and great media relations skills
- Music industry and entertainment experience is crucial
- Ability to manage a multi-faceted, high-volume campaigns
- Experience working with celebrity talent and client facing
- Broad industry knowledge of important pop culture happenings
- Client relations skills, ability to assert industry expertise, while building strong relationships with clients, the media and other employees in the company
- Strong strategizing abilities
- Must be a team player and work well in fast paced environment
- Excellent writing and communications skills required, as well as strong editing skills with an attention to detail
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ability to lead planning and executing of PR campaigns for brands
- Coming up with positive news coverage about clients or products, cooperating with clients and media on a daily basis to come up with news content
- Constantly monitoring media and social media to find new opportunities for clients
- Develop and distribute press releases to the media
- Secure press coverage in key media outlets
- Ability to manage several accounts
- Complete client and editor requests within a timely manner
- Act as the main contact for client communication and lead weekly meetings
- Maintaining extensive and meticulously updated contacts lists / databases
- Demonstrate a positive, self- motivating attitude while managing time efficiently
- Exhibit strong communication and seasoned writing skills
- Be detail oriented and able to multitask in a well-organized manner
- Cover talent appearances including interviews and events
Requirements:
- 5-6 years of full-time public relations experience (agency or in-house), specifically in the music space
- Bachelor's Degree
- Established entertainment press relationships across digital, broadcast, print and awards
- Proven success in pitching TV, Print and Online media
- Proven success in securing top tier placements
- Strong assignment and people management skills
- Must already live within the LA area
