Job Description - The Senior Accountant has primary responsibility for the preparation of financial statements for FremantleMedia North America (FMNA). The position is responsible for the overall financial reporting for FMNA and group reporting for our other FMNA entities and will report to the Manager of Accounting and Reporting.
Responsibilities
• Monthly closing procedures to ensure accuracy of financial reporting
• Preparation of monthly financial reporting packages for submission to group
• Work with Business Partners to gather necessary Information for Financial Statement Preparation
• Primary responsibility for balance sheet management, including balances with other group companies
• Work with A/R, A/P and royalties and licensing teams to ensure accuracy of balances, and timely collection or payment
• Account for Productions, including revenue, costs, and deliveries
• Account for Ancillary Revenues
• Performs other financial analysis and support as required
• Responsible for quarterly consolidation profit and loss account and balance sheet reporting
• Preparation and compilation of audit documentation and assist in the statutory audit process
• Work with distribution group to ensure accurate reporting of distribution revenues and costs
• Overhead reporting and tracking
• Devise and implement improvements to financial reporting
• Other projects and duties as assigned
Requirements
• Finance, Accounting or Business Administration degree required
• CPA Qualified Accountant preferred with experience within a finance function
• Minimum of 3 years relevant experience; Television production experience preferred
• Confident and enthusiastic team player
• Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills
• Advanced Excel skills
• Strong analysis capability
• Strong working experience and knowledge of EPR systems, preferably SAP and Business Warehouse; experience with production accounting software is a plus
• Ability to work with tight deadlines and manage priorities
