Job description
FoxNext Games is looking for a Sound Designer to join our in-house audio team in our stunning new studio in Playa Vista. We're looking for a talented and proficient sound designer, with a particular aptitude for audio implementation.
The Sound Designer will be responsible for the creation and implementation of audio content for internally developed mobile games at FoxNext. The team is currently working on games based on the Marvel universe and James Cameron's Avatar. The ideal candidate will have a passion for video games and for improving the player's experience through sound. You will work closely with the Audio Director and Design team to create compelling soundscapes.
This is a permanent position based in Playa Vista, California, and requires working onsite.
Your Responsibilities
• An individual contributor that designs and implements sound for assigned sound / audio projects. Experienced in area of specialization.
• Designs and implements sound / audio effects and content for assigned software products.
• Sound design includes music composition and orchestration and sound effects design and editing.
• Implements defined tasks of unit / team / projects.
• Supports attainment of some short- and mid-term objectives of assigned unit / team / projects.
• Solves semi-complex problems in effective ways.
• Interacts with internal and external peers and/or managers to exchange semi- complex information related to assigned activities.
• Receives work in the form of short- and midterm assignments that sometimes require use of independent judgment outside of established procedures. Supports the determination of approaches and the development of new or enhanced technical tools. Mentors less experienced members of the team.
• Work is subject to regular supervisory review at regular intervals. Operates within the context of generally defined procedures.
• 3 to 6 years of progressively complex related experience.
