Marketing Art Project Manager
Los Angeles, CA
Reporting into the Associate Creative Director of Marketing Art, the Marketing Art Project Manager will ensure that all marketing assets are being created at high quality and delivered on-time.
Team/Role:
The Marketing team (primarily based in Los Angeles) is responsible for driving acquisition, engagement, monetization, and loyalty of the player base through targeted and tailored marketing programs.
As a part of these efforts, we leverage digital marketing assets for mobile platforms – particularly static and video ads, along with email communications to our players. Your role is to manage the creative development and delivery of these marketing assets and ensure key marketing assets are created, optimized and finalized to align with major game and marketing beats.
Day to Day
• Shepherd and add value to the production process, applying an intimate understanding of project scope and managing resources to deliver against it
• Understand and communicate the critical path for project success, and that of each team and individual involved
• Prepare sound project plans and manage timelines and production schedules to ensure delivery of assets and finished art product
• Obtain ad/creative specs and ensure each piece meets specs
• Collaborate and coordinate timely feedback, approvals, and deadlines with both internal and external stakeholders
• Coordinate tasks from design resources to relevant Marketing team members
• Successfully produce concurrent and competing projects in a fast-paced environment
• Act as project lead for complete digital campaigns including social, mobile, micro sites, and landing pages.
• Create and maintain a repository of asset requirements and formats for various channels, platforms and campaigns
• Consistently provide a point of clarity for the team regarding final product, scope, schedule, workflow and associated risks
• Escalate complex challenges to senior management and ensure resolution
• Communicate project status with team members and other stakeholders on an ongoing basis, ensuring effective exchange of project information
• Keep the team focused and on task throughout project challenges
• Own the creation and tracking of marketing art related documentation including SOWs, in game event schedules and asset deliverable schedules
Education:
• BA / BS required
Years Experience
• 5 years of project management including coordination experience in an art/creative environment
MUST Have Experience:
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• 5 years of project management including coordination experience in an art/creative environment
• Understanding of a fast paced marketing art development pipeline with attention to detail
• Be able to successfully communicate with designers and other marketing functions (e.g., media buying, product marketing)
• Experience project managing outside resources, such as creative agencies and contractors
• Mobile game shipping experience across iOS and Android
• Ability to effectively present ideas, both verbally and visually
• Strong understanding of marketing art development and best practices
• Ability to juggle multiple projects/ multi-task
• Experience with project management tools such as Jira, Trello, Basecamp and Workfront
• Experience using and building delivery and archive structures within a DAM resource
• Creative background is a plus
• Have a passion for mobile games
