Producer - Mobile Gaming
San Francisco, CA
Position Summary:
Our world-class development team is in search of a Producer for an upcoming narrative mobile game. Working directly with the Senior Producer, this new team member will drive both internal and external multi-discipline teams to realize the game's vision and deliver it to a global audience. This is a content driven game, so specific experience managing art production is essential. This role will manage all logistics of production, including tracking tasks and deliverables, maintaining an organized asset library, routing incoming assets into approval and production pipelines, and acting as the point-of-contact with freelancers and vendors.
Your Day to Day:
You can expect to be responsible and accountable for the following:
• Contribute to the development, communication, and management of daily and long-term scheduling
• Work with discipline leads to define milestones, effort estimates, resource requirements and potential risks
• Track production progress, budgets, and schedules for multiple projects.
• Manage art feedback and approval pipelines, and prep approval materials for external IP partners.
• Receive, prepare, and implement incoming art assets into the development pipeline.
• Work with content creators to ensure deliverables are on time, to spec, and at target quality.
• Work with Senior Producer to align production schedules with project development milestones.
• Participate in production meetings with writers, artists, animators, producers, and directors.
• Assist the Art Director with gathering reference, assembling mood boards, and preparing model sheets and other reference materials for freelancers and vendors.
• Manage freelancer and vendor contact information, portfolios, rates, and availability.
• Communicate frequently with the rest of the team on project status, risks, and opportunities
• Actively remove barriers so that team members can get their job done
Your Career Progression
You will ship product! Everyone in our studio has shipped at least one product with many of us contributing to multiple titles across multiple platforms and we have no intent to stop this trend. Your portfolio of experience will grow, and the size of the audience you reach will expand exponentially. Requirements
• 5 years of Game Production experience
• Great communications skills (written and verbal) across multiple disciplines
• Deep knowledge of the mobile free-to-play market
• Experience with Agile/Waterfall/SCRUM development with hard deadlines
• Exceptional knowledge/experience with scheduling and project tracking software (Excel, MS Project, JIRA.)
• Excel and Word skills a must. Familiarity with Photoshop and Unity a plus.
• Strong familiarity with bug reporting and related software.
• Excellent understanding of game development processes and the roles of key disciplines
• Self-directed, detail oriented and a problem solver with a burning desire to contribute in a dynamic entrepreneurial environment
