We are looking for a Local Marketing Assistant to assist Marketing Consultants in all aspects of Sales related functions. Team member will handle a variety of tasks from MC's. Responsible for timely processing of sales orders to ensure accurate airing of spot schedules including but not limited to: order processing, order confirmations, general problem solving, client presentation procurement, preemptions and traffic issues. Candidate will be cross-trained on the national desk, research, digital and traffic.
Qualifications:
A successful candidate must be motivated with the ability to work in a fast pace and challenging environment. The individual must well organized and have the ability to prioritize, multitask and perform all duties in an efficient and effective manner. Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to respond quickly, clearly and effectively to internal and external clients via email and telephone. Accurate data entry and word processing skills of 50 wpm is crucial. Must possess solid spelling, punctuation and grammatical skills in order to prepare a variety of paperwork from rough drafts. Requires use of sound judgment to handle a variety of day-to-day routine and non-routine sales-related situations to the satisfaction of the client and FOX 5. Applicant must be well versed in Microsoft office suite and experience using WideOrbit Traffic system is preferred. Bachelor and/or Associate degree or equivalent related experience in television broadcasting, preferably in sales, advertising or traffic gained either through work experience or classroom study.
