OutKick is looking for a technically skilled radio producer to be part of a growing slate of nationally syndicated radio shows and video podcasts, originating from Nashville. This position will work alongside the Streaming Studio Engineer on the overall technical operation and staffing of the OutKick studio and remote productions.
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Board Operator/Audio Mixer for OutKick studio programming
• Learn new broadcast technologies and increase knowledge of existing systems
• Operate technical equipment, including ENCO automation systems, digital workstations, Comrex, Tieline, Telos ISDN Interfaces, intercom systems, recording devices, audio consoles, and adobe audition/ pro-tools
• Operational POC for radio syndication partner, Skyview
• Ensure show timing/break schedules/formats meet the syndicator requirements
• Responsible for documentation, as well as provide cross-training of peers on all broadcast equipment
• Communicate with non-technical personnel to resolve equipment issues
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
• 8+ years experience producing live radio and podcast programming with excellent skills operating a board during live broadcasts
• Creative and ''out of the box'' thinking
• Strong digital journalism skills and social media experience
• Avid news, sports & pop culture consumer with a keen sense of how the three intersect
• Ability to interact with high profile guests and talent
• Highly skilled in writing, copy editing, and phone call screening
• Ability to make the right decisions during breaking news situations as well as during routine shifts
• Well versed in the latest radio technologies
• Strong communication skills, excellent teamwork, and team-building skills
• A good understanding of system design and be able to create and follow signal flow drawings
• Working knowledge of Windows, Mac, Outlook, Word, Excel, Adobe Premier, ENCO
• Able to work flexible hours, including weekends, and travel as necessary in a fast-paced, exciting live broadcast environment
NICE TO HAVE, BUT NOT A DEAL BREAKER
• Knowledge of iNews, ENCO automation, and Adobe Audition
