Print Project Manager
This position manages the workflow of creating key art from conception to delivery. He/she builds and maintains project timelines, assigns projects to internal designers or external agencies, sets clear expectations of tasks and deliverables, and moves the project forward through its proper milestones.
This person is highly organized and able to juggle multiple, fast-paced projects at once. He/she is a clear communicator, working with multiple internal and external teams and at all levels of personnel. He/she is able to manage risks, solve problems, and adjust workflows as necessary to produce an efficient and successful project.
Responsibilities
• Oversee fully cycle of producing key art including sketching, comping, user-testing, retouching, and providing quality assurance
• Develop and maintain production schedules based on incoming Design requests from all marketing departments, other FOX divisions and miscellaneous creative asset needs
• Forecast and manage resources and track and deliver all printed design materials by assigned deadlines
• Manage relationships between the Design department and all other marketing departments including media buying, affiliate marketing, publicity, photo publicity, creative services, corporate communications and digital teams, to manage and track their design requests.
• Create and manage design schedules and deadlines with Creative department heads and their designers
• Work as a liaison between media buying team (Print) and design department to communicate all buying efforts to the design team
• Ensure quality control of all Design team creative assets by directing art directors and production managers, providing accurate information to ensure correct messaging and tune-in is reflected in all deliverables.
• Work with show publicist to secure exclusives and distribute key art to all of marketing. Send files to production and international partners as necessary
• Support department budget. Oversee the department assistant submitting and tracking invoices. Create and submit quarterly forecasts to finance
• Prepare, organize and distribute Design presentations, meeting materials and status updates.
• Work closely with photographers, stylists, and talent agencies when a department photo shoot is needed to execute creative ideas
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree or some college coursework is preferred and at least 3 years marketing/advertising experience
• Knowledge of television industry and an interest in entertainment advertising/graphic design are a plus
• Good oral and written communication skills, including good grammar and spelling abilities are necessary.
• Problem solving skills and communication skills; Knowledge of spreadsheets; attention to detail and high level of accuracy is necessary
• Proficiency using Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Outlook, Excel, Keynote and PowerPoint Familiarity with Mac OS is necessary. Some knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite software (Photoshop, Reader, etc.) is a plus.
• Good organizational, project coordination skills and follow-through skills
• A demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize work and handle multiple tasks in a strict, deadline oriented environment
