JOB DESCRIPTION
Fox News is looking for a Photo Editor to join our New York Bureau. As the Photo Editor you will assist the photo department in creating the entire look of our website. You have a great photographic eye and can quickly turn in images that capture news as it develops.
You will be assigned the following shift: Sunday-Thursday 2:30PM - 10:30PM EST
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Coordinate website presentation of still photos as well as montages/collages/photo illustrations for top news stories
• Maintain and manage network of freelance image contributors
• Seek out and identify compelling images from an extensive selection of wire service, news network and content partner content
• Tone photos to achieve highest quality using the appropriate tools
• Work intensely under deadline pressure with editors and reporters
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
• Minimum five years journalism experience
• At least one year working in daily breaking news environment
• Ability to work in both breaking news and long-term planning deadlines
• Extensive knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
• Ability to work nights, overnights and weekends
• Proven, creative mind with a particular eye for detail
• Strong time management and interpersonal skills
