The division consists of FoxNext Games, FoxNext VR Studio and FoxNext Destinations.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Director of Talent Acquisition will operate as a hands-on recruiter and oversee the total recruitment efforts for our rapidly growing Games organization in San Francisco, San Jose and Los Angeles. Based in San Francisco, the Director will report to the COO FoxNext Games. The director will manage recruiters for the Games team in Los Angeles, San Jose, and San Francisco.
Our studios are dedicated to crafting AAA quality games for a global audience, across various platforms, including mobile, console, and PC. Fogbank Entertainment in San Francisco is dedicated to mobile narrative game experiences, while the FoxNext Games Studio in Los Angeles is delivering AAA mobile games based on premium IPs such as Marvel and Avatar, and Cold Iron Studios in San Jose is developing a unique shooter game within the Alien universe.
The Director of Talent Acquisition will be responsible for building out a strong recruiting organization that can support the rapid growth of the FoxNext Games Studio and Publishing businesses. Responsibilities
• Full-cycle recruitment and management of a team of Games recruiters covering San Francisco, San Jose, and Los Angeles locations
• Partner with FoxNext Games leadership to build a recruitment strategy for each Studio/Group to complement the growth and management plan for the respective business units, providing gaming industry trends and competitive intelligence; manage short term and long term goals
• Work with the hiring manager to develop new job descriptions as needed and modification/revision of existing job profiles due to promotions/upgrades/restructures
• Create and maintain a productive recruitment process that considers optimal candidate sourcing, tracking and metrics over time, leveraging Fox enterprise tools
• Drive an effective employer branding strategy in partnership with corporate communications and marketing to attract and hire exceptional diverse talent
• Work and partner with Corporate Talent Acquisition, participating in Talent Acquisition staff meetings and training, ensuring Games processes are in alignment with corporate recruitment policies, practices, and procedures.
• Develop and direct recruitment strategy for functional roles in game development, engineering, user acquisition, data science, marketing and other functional areas in gaming and software development
• Leverage and manage relationships with external recruiting resources, e.g. staffing agencies, etc.
• In partnership with Fox HQ HR and Compensation, establish a functional job matrix unique to the gaming industry, encompassing Development, Operations and Publishing departments providing job context, levels, and industry comparables.
• Partner with the Fox HQ HR team to manage offers, employment contract requests, relocation, immigration, and related functional HR matters.
Qualifications
• Bachelor degree in business administration or a related field; HR certification preferred.
• At least 7 years Recruitment experience with at least 3 years' in a supervisory capacity of a team.
• Strong experience leading, managing and developing a team of in-house and remote recruiters; providing meaningful tracking metrics, short and long terms goals and continuous feedback loop on progress.
• Subject matter expert with proven experience recruiting for experienced professionals in game development, engineering, user acquisition, data science, marketing and other functional areas in gaming and software development. Media/entertainment experience is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of Recruiting practices, policies and California employment law.
• Proficiency using Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio, HRIS and applicant tracking systems (e.g. PeopleSoft, Workday, Taleo).
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written); skilled at establishing and maintaining strong relationships with clients and HR peers, effective leadership skills and the ability to work independently.
• Strong project management skills; detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task and operate in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency and focus.
• Must possess a strong service and team-oriented approach.
• Ability to regularly travel to games studio locations.
