The Director of Broadcast Production is a global role that maintains the day-to-day operation of the Creative Department, specifically related to A/V initiatives. The Director of Broadcast Production structurally reports into the VP of Global Creative Marketing. The Director must be clear about the VP and Senior Management's goals to manage up and support them down line.
This position requires someone who is forward thinking and who possesses the ability to multi-task and manage the changing priorities of a frequently changing piece of business. The Director of Broadcast Production will be responsible for managing projects globally across all lines of business including New Release, Acquired, Catalog, and Television among other internal business requests for special AV initiatives.
The Director needs to be flexible, and able to communicate well cross-divisionally with both lower and senior level management. Additionally, the Director must communicate well with all vendors, providing guidance and creative direction and approvals on his/her specific A/V related projects.
The Director manages his/her own daily projects and is responsible for the successful completion of all campaigns assigned to him/her. This position requires key interaction and management of the global marketing group in all ways in which they relate to the creative process.
The Director must be a knowledgeable representative of the company in all ways from legalities that affect our product and standards of conducting business and all appropriate education it takes to understand and be in compliance with the expectations of the company.
This position requires a minimum of 8 years' experience in a related creative field. A bachelor degree in a related communication/art field and a working knowledge of all basic Mac-based design-related programs and A/V programs (Final Cut, Avid, Smoke) and Motion Graphic software (After Effects, Cinema 4D, Maya) is required. Must have knowledge and experience in both production and post-production areas for the following mediums – film, broadcast, digital / online. Live Action shoot production experience is a plus. Online and Audio sweetening supervision experience is required.
Responsibilities:
• A/V Creative Direction and Production: Responsible for producing and art directing the A/V for 45 individual titles / projects per year globally – including management of entire creative process from copywriting to creative direction including editorial, music, graphic design and animation, etc. From the business side, responsible for handling legal clearances, MPAA approvals, Network Clearances, Digital Account clearances, spot rotation recommendations, project schedules / timelines, status reports, and managing across other studios (ex. MGM / Annapurna) and vendors.
• A/V Projects: Responsible for overseeing individual projects and campaigns from initial brief to finished TV Spots/Trailers/Sizzles, etc. Responsible for managing the final delivery of said projects for multiple platforms including and not limited to Broadcast, Radio, in-theater, online, VOD/EST, Retail and social.
• Administrative: Management of budgets, Fox rate cards, billing, workflow processes and procedures.
• Also responsible for handling tagged trailering requests as well as retail marketing trailer requests and trailer reel requests for top executive meetings.
• Occasionally responsible for coordinating the AV portion of the company's corporate sales and strategy meetings. This includes co-creating the run of show, managing the A/V component of the show day of, and ascertaining all AV assets / materials that will be shown during the event.
