We are looking for a creative & hardworking Associate Producer to join Fox News Primetime. As the Associate Producer, you will be responsible for pitching stories and writing scripts for a rotating series of hosts. You're a Fox News fan - with a strong knowledge of news, politics & current events - and a familiarity with the political narratives driving the news of the day. You also have a lot to learn and are searching for a team of talented professionals to guide & develop your skills. Qualified candidates should feel confident expressing their ideas in front of large groups (that include high profile talent) and capable of executing (and building on) ideas described by other people.
You will be offered the following shift: Weekdays 12 pm – 8 pm ET
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Identify unique stories, angles, and elements based on the vision for the show each day
• Participate in daily team meetings to pitch and develop strategies for each segment
• Write scripts, including intros, monologues & teases
• Contribute to the production of segments as needed
• Additional responsibilities based on your unique talents/abilities
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
• 1-3 years of television, radio, or online writing experience
• Exceptional editorial skills; ability to generate original ideas with high potential for compelling television
• Familiarity with popular conservative influencers, commentators & opinion makers
• Ability to communicate your ideas clearly & effectively in writing
• Ability to execute ideas described by other people
• Willingness to listen, learn and grow from constructive criticism
NICE TO HAVE
• Bachelor's degree in television, journalism, or a related field
• Experience interacting with high-profile talent
• Deep understanding of US/World history and its impact on current events
