20th Century Fox
One of the world's largest producers and distributors of motion pictures, 20th Century Fox Film (TCFF) produces, acquires and distributes motion pictures throughout the world. These motion pictures are produced or acquired by the following units of 20th Century Fox Film: Twentieth Century Fox, Fox 2000 Pictures, Fox Searchlight Pictures, Fox International Productions, and Twentieth Century Fox Animation. During fiscal 2017, TCFF placed 25 motion pictures in general release in the United States. The motion pictures produced and/or distributed by TCFF in the United States and international territories in fiscal 2017 included Hidden Figures, Logan, Jackie, and The Boss Baby. TCFF has released or currently plans to release approximately 23 motion pictures in the United States in fiscal 2018.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The FoxNext and Fox Consumer Products Business and Legal Affairs department is seeking a Legal Assistant to provide support for department personnel, including primary support for at least two attorneys. This position is located in Los Angeles, CA.
Responsibilities:
• Answers calls, sends emails/faxes, and assists in distribution of agreements/documentation on a regular basis.
• Schedules meetings and conference calls, creates meeting agendas and circulates meeting materials, books/confirms travel, manages expense reports, and arranges mail, messenger and UPS/ FedEx packages.
• Assists with preparation of legal documents and redlines, drafts routine letters and other correspondence, and reviews and edits prepared documents for accuracy.
• Maintains and administers legal contract filing system.
• Delivers agreements for execution by parties and assists in monitoring dates of legal significance (e.g., options and expirations).
• Updates contract binders, creates folders, photocopies and distributes documents.
• Performs other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required.
• Minimum 3 years prior administrative experience in a fast-paced legal department required.
• Heavy experience redlining required.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel is required. Experience with Adobe Acrobat and DeltaView preferred.
• Strong written and oral communication skills are a must, along with superior grammar, editing and proofing skills.
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills are a must.
• Detail-oriented and able to understand and carry out oral and written instructions, and effectively prioritize and handle multiple tasks, competing demands, and fluctuating deadlines.
• Service-mindedness, with a high level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information, and professionalism in dealing with senior professionals inside and outside the company is essential.
