FOX 13 – WTVT is currently seeking a Production Supervisor. The qualified candidate must possess a thorough understanding of all Production systems and subsequent workflow. This includes daily assignments as they relate to the following departments: Production/Engineering, News/Web, Creative Services, and the FTS Graphics Hub. Maintain and operate Sony MVS 8000G video switcher/ ELC automation system, Chyron systems, Bit Central, Teleprompter system and Vinten robotics camera systems. ELC Director for newscasts as needed. ELC Director for newsbreaks, promos, in-house productions, and breaking news cut in's. Assist floor crew with studio operations. Oversee staffing during normal scheduled shift with guidance from the Production Manager. Manage the graphics workflow as it relates to News, Engineering, and Production. Work closely with Graphics/Hub unit to ingest templates and video clips on all systems. Assist engineering and IT with system upgrades as needed for the above systems. Communicate with outside support services to resolve technical issues. Troubleshoot, recommend, and implement a course of action relating to specific assignments, both in house and for the
Fox Television Group, in tandem with Engineering. Facilitates production staff training and cross training wherever deemed appropriate by the Production Manager. Understand the importance of deadlines to meet departmental goals. Update Production Manager and V.P. Engineering/Production via email as necessary. Suggest procedural changes in workflow and staffing to streamline efficiency. Assist Engineering in planning and implementing future systems. Maintain a proficient knowledge of iTX automation as it relates to overall workflow. Work with the Production Manager to develop weekly Schedules and daily QCR reports.
A minimum of 5 years of experience working in top 25 television market with a heavy emphasis in local newscasts preferred.
