WJZY-TV, the FOX Owned and Operated duopoly television station in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Social Media and Marketing Engagement Producer. The ideal candidate is the primary liaison between Creative Services, Programming and News to promote WJZY and WMYT programming priorities and community outreach. The ideal candidate is responsible for coordinating and creating content to promote our stations, including: engaging audiences, interacting with communities, increasing brand awareness and highlighting important programming initiatives. Works with the VP of Creative Services, VP of News and Digital Content Manager to develop and implement strategies for all of the stations' social media and digital platforms. Creates compelling and engaging social content and digital stories daily. Conceptualizes and produces high profile creative marketing material for digital and social. Gathers social, news and promotional content in the field. Actively engages in online communities and blogs to promote FOX 46 Charlotte, the station's talent and website, driving traffic to the station's website and programming. Grows friends, followers and subscribers on social sites. Performs duties of digital editor, specializing in print style writing, copy editing and editorial newsgathering, as needed. Facilitates the editorial gathering of compelling web material using information from various sources and contacts. Identifies and responds to emerging social media and mobile trends to increase the stations' reach. Partners with the Digital Content Manager to serve as a social media leader and training leader for the station, training on best practices for creation and publication of social media content and embedding a social mentality into our culture. Works with editorial team to highlight comments and feedback for use on air, when appropriate. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Demonstrated fluency in social media and multimedia platform work. Existing following on social media strongly preferred. Ability to present digital and social content live on-air and online. Knowledge of internet publishing software, editing software and content management systems such as Adobe Premiere, iNews, Extreme Reach, Web CMS, Bit Central and Social Media Platforms (i.e. Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, etc.) Excellent broadcast, web and social writing. Handle multiple demands and competing priorities simultaneously in a strict deadline-oriented environment. Excellent communication skills. Ability to work under pressure as a cohesive member of a team. Ability to work a flexible schedule. Bachelors' degree preferred. Two to four (2-4) years of previous social media marketing experience is required.
