Assure that all elements of on-air presentation of Fox O&O station are of the highest quality. Work in a team environment during fast-paced, high-pressure newscasts and other productions. Perform pre-production duties to prepare multiple systems for air. Target and square Vinten robotic cameras. Perform audio duties, including mic checks, set pre-fade audio for mics, live shots and sat feeds, set IFB mix/minus and check for proper IFB signals/levels, change batteries in mics and IFBs. Set up teleprompter and test foot pedals before air. Activate closed captioning. Operate Vinten robotic camera system, Chyron ISQ playback system, Solid State Logic digital audio board, teleprompter, as necessary. Operate iTX playout servers. Catch satellite feeds using Ku-, C-band and digital satellite receivers and check those feeds for quality. Tune-in and troubleshoot local area, microwave live-shots. Tune-in satellite live-shots using Ku-, C-band and digital satellite receivers. Shade studio cameras. Acquire beauty shots with our downtown tower camera. Prepare shows for automation using iTX. Ingest promos/PSAs/commercials into a server using iTX. Responsible for cleanliness and upkeep of studio and operations. Responsible for changing bulbs in studio light grid. Assist Directors with scripts and other pre-show duties. Assist Creative Services with editing. The Tech will be cross trained to be proficient with all studio equipment during a manual or automated newscast, and will assist in other areas of Engineering/Operations as needed. College degree preferred in related communications field, with a concentration in television production. Minimum of one year television production experience, preferably in a live newscast environment. Overall knowledge of television production, including audio and video. Team player who works well under pressure, with ability to meet tight deadlines. Must be able to work various hours and shifts. Must be willing to be on-call.
