Fox Sports Florida is searching for a Traffic Coordinator to join their team in Ft. Lauderdale. The position is responsible for various Traffic functions including editing the Traffic logs, adding in promos and verifying rundowns against the logs. Additionally, the incumbent will work with Sales and Marketing to resolve any issues that prevent a spot from airing.
Responsibilities
• Resolve any issues that arise from missing materials with Sales, Marketing or Programming as far as removing spots from the logs.
• Place promos into logs if necessary - utilizing information and guidelines provided by the Marketing department.
• Edit traffic logs including placing spots into ordered time slots, clearing displaced and preempting and placing elements into the log.
• Manipulate log for the most competitive separation - check and place advertisers who have specific placement instructions and advise Sales, Marketing, Programming or Production of potential problems on logs.
• Work with sales to compare all rundowns, for the pro and college products
• Finalize completed logs and notify copy administration that the logs are ready to be translated and printed.
• Exchange information daily with Copy Administrators, Ad Sales Department, Marketing Department, Production Department, Log editors and the Finance Department.
• Assist in other areas of the department when co-workers are out and as needed.
Qualifications
• 2 or more years experience in television broadcasting traffic experience is highly preferred
• Excellent interpersonal skills and comfortable working in a team environment
• Timely decision making
• Knowledge of Traffic software , MS Excel and MS Word
• Must be self-motivated and maintains a high level of attention to detail
• Can remain composed under pressure and perform within tight deadlines
• Flexible to change, can learn quickly on the fly
• Great time management skills
